Ep. 40 /Syncing Steps and Cycles: A Dance Scientist's Perspective
Show Notes:
For all the dancers and former dancers out there !! Join me today as I talk with Maria Haralambis!
Maria, better known as the Dance Scientist on Instagram, is a podcast host who has a ton of background in dance as a former dancer. Today we talk about dance and missing periods, as well as connecting the two of them together.
Listen in for more:
A missing period is like an injury; you aren’t in any pain or anything like that, but it still should be treated as if you have an injury regardless of whether it is not convenient for you.
You can simply just listen to the health advice, but there’s work on your part too; if this (i.e. dancing, exercise, etc.) is something you truly love, you need to work on your “injury”, give it time to fully heal
There’s much we can attach to a woman’s menstrual cycle; during certain times of the month, we can access building more muscle strength, more energy, etc.
Enjoy this episode!
