Hi, I’m Cynthia Donovan, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with a Master’s in Nutrition. My focus is helping women heal Hypothalamic Amenorrhea (“HA” aka missing periods) and get their periods back permanently. My approach as a dietitian is meeting you where you’re at with food and exercise while guiding you with science-based methods that work.
I have spent over half of my career helping women recover from HA. I believe all foods fit. The approach I use is focused on helping you feel more relaxed, confident and free around food, exercise, and your body. I want you to improve your relationship with and behaviors around food.
I found my true purpose in my profession through my own battle with disordered eating and exercise, which led me to lose my period and eventually encounter infertility. I know what it feels like to feel so suffocated by the worry of a missing period. All while feeling unsettled about food, worrying about what you look like, trying to be your “healthiest” self, maintaining your fitness. I was also scared about what period recovery might do to my body. But, I discovered another way.
